ComingWith ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: First name, last name, email address, date of birth, gender, country, and password (stored as a secure hash).

Profile data: Profile photos, bio, city, occupation, hobbies, and other optional lifestyle fields you choose to add.

Trip data: Travel plans, destinations, dates, and trip descriptions you create on the App.

Usage data: Swipe actions, matches, messages, and in-app activity — used to provide the matching service.

Device data: Push notification token, device type — used to send match and message notifications.

Payment data: Subscription status. Full payment card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide the travel companion matching service
To send match, message, and account notifications
To enforce our Terms of Service and keep the community safe
To improve the App through aggregated, anonymised analytics
To send transactional emails (email verification, match alerts) via Resend

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the App:

Railway — cloud hosting and database infrastructure
Resend — transactional email delivery
Stripe — payment processing
Expo / Apple / Google — push notification delivery

We may disclose data to law enforcement or regulators where required by law or to protect user safety.

5. Profile Visibility

Your first name, age, photos, bio, and travel plans are visible to other users in the swipe queue. Your full name, email, and date of birth are never shown to other users.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Messages may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form for safety purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Object to or restrict certain processing
Data portability

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

ComingWith is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately and we will delete the account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
